It's Over for Now???

Well my truck driving career is over for now. I finished my 300 hours of training Wednesday morning. I called my student driver contact to find out about getting my own truck. I was told that there are no trucks available in Florida at this time. She told me I will be placed on a leave of absence until a truck becomes available. If after 30 days a truck is still not available, I will no longer be employed by the company. So as of now I am back home on a leave of absence, looking for a job. I'll update the blog when and if I get my own truck.

04/27 - 04/30

This was a short week. My trainer requested Saturday 5/1 off, so my week ended Thursday evening. It was a boring week. I had the honor of driving I-10 between I-75 and Pensacola twice this week, what fun. We went to the Pensacola, southern Alabama area Monday/Tuesday and then returned to Pensacola, Tuesday/Wednesday. My final trip this week took me to the West Palm Beach area and then to Tampa. We arrived back in Alachua at about 2100 Thursday evening. I then left for home and my trainer headed back south toward his home. I think my training will be over in about two weeks.
